Egypt’s c. bank issues EGP 55b in T-bills

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) is offering 55 billion Egyptian pounds in treasury bills (T-bills) on Thursday, in coordination with the Ministry of Finance, according to a CBE statement on its website.

The auction shall be in two tranches: 30 billion pounds for 91-day to be maturated on 06/08/2024 and 25 billion pounds for 273-day to be maturated on 04/02/2025, as per the statement.

Treasury bills are short-term government debt instruments with maturities ranging from three months to a year.
