Egypt Cabinet to Review Integrated License this Week: Telecom Minister

Eng. Atef Helmy Egyptian Telecom Minister asserted that the Cabinet’s Economic Committee will start reviewing the Integrated Operator License within the current week.

The Minister denied in an exclusive to Amwal Al Ghad what was circulated in some media regarding that the ministry started actually discussing the file, asserting that the Ministry waits holding a meeting with the economic committee within days to answer Cabinet’s inquiries on some points of the license.

He explained that after discussing the license on the Cabinet, all the outstanding points will take into account with the mobile phone operators on top the international gateway license.

The board of Directors of the National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (NTRA) explained that the board decided to approve the license as a most regulator solution which paves the way to the required growth and balance of the telecommunication market in Egypt.
