Egypt C.bank Launches New Initiative to Boost SMEs Next April

Egypt’s central bank is due to launch a new initiative to enhance the SMEs sector within next month, said the deputy governor Gamal Negm on Monday.

On the sidelines of the Egyptian Banking Institute’s 6^th Annual Conference ‘Towards Sustainbility: Principles and Roadmap”, Negm said the CBE’s new initiative includes new elements such as companies to guarantee credit risks for SMEs projects. The CBE might also enter into a partnership with one of the risk guarantee companies, he added.
