Egypt condemns Israeli airstrikes on Syria

Egypt has strongly condemned the recent Israeli airstrikes on Syrian territory. The Israeli airstrikes called the attacks a “systematic escalation” and a “blatant violation” of international law and the UN Charter.
Egypt warned that Israel’s actions increase tension and conflict in the region. It also described the strikes as a serious violation of Syria’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.
The ministry urged the UN Security Council and international powers to take responsibility and pressure Israel to stop these violations. It also called for Israel’s withdrawal from Syrian land occupied in 1967, in line with the 1974 disengagement agreement, as a step towards full withdrawal from the occupied Golan Heights.
