Egypt condemns Kabul bombing that killed 30 people

Egypt strongly condemned on Tuesday the bombing that hit the Afghan capital Kabul earlier in the day and left 30 people dead and hundreds others wounded, a statement by Egypt’s foreign ministry read.

Egyptian foreign ministry spokesperson Ahmed Abu Zeid affirmed in the statement Egypt’s full solidarity with Afghanistan during these “difficult times.”

A truck bomb tore through central Kabul in the Tuesday attack before a fierce firefight broke out.

The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack in the densely crowded neighbourhood.
