Egypt Convention Authority Targets Increasing Interior Conferences In 2013

Egypt Expo and Convention Authority is aiming at increasing the interior conferences, at a rate ranges from 5 to 10% during 2013; after its participation in 57 conferences in 2012.

Eng. Ahmed Al Deeb, Chairman of Egypt Expo and Convention Authority, has emphasized that there are several challenges that face the conference industries in Egypt; elaborating that these challenges are representing in the political circumstances in Egypt, which may influence the inbound visits to Egypt as well as the international conventions in Egypt.

The authority’s current area is still limited to establish conferences and conventions; pointing to the necessity of completing the development processes and building new halls as an urgent short-term solutions.

He underscored the necessity of establishing research centers and educational institutions for teaching the necessity of conference industries in Egypt; referring to the necessity of restoring security and stability for reviving the Egyptian economy.
