Egypt coronavirus cases hit new daily record of 774 on Thursday

Egypt registered 774 new cases of the coronavirus on Thursday, the health ministry said, its biggest daily increase yet in infections, bringing its overall tally to 15,003 cases.

The country also confirmed 16 new deaths, taking the official number of fatalities to 696, the ministry added. However, the total number of recoveries climbed to 4,217 on Thursday from 3,994 on Wednesday.
