Egypt earmarks $3.2bln in FY2023-24 budget to develop educational services

Egypt’s Minister of Planning and Economic Development said on Wednesday that the country has allocated 99.4 billion Egyptian pounds ($3.2 billion) during the fiscal year (FY) 2023/2024 budget for the development of educational services.

The plan aims to renovate 488 schools (8,335 classrooms) and establish 1875 schools with a total of 29,622 classrooms, according to Minister of Planning Hala El Saeed said in a statement on Wednesday.
