Egypt establishes national council to boost green hydrogen investment

Egypt made a national council to attract investments in the country’s green hydrogen projects, Asharq Business reported on Thursday, citing an official.

The Egyptian government is expecting the total foreign direct investment (FDI) of green hydrogen projects to hit $81.6 billion by 2035.

In August, Egyptian cabinet approved a draft law to establish a national council for green hydrogen and its derivatives.

The council is headed by the Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly with several ministers and officials as members.
