Egypt exports 185K tons of food in 1 week – NFSA

Egypt exported 185,000 tons of food products in the week ending July 3, 2025, with beans and grapes topping the list of outbound shipments, the National Food Safety Authority (NFSA) reported on Sunday.

A total of 3,810 consignments were exported by 1,265 companies, covering 645 categories of vegetables, fruits, flour, and processed food items, according to the report.

Vegetable exports reached 37,000 tons across 50 varieties, led by beans at 10,000 tons, followed by onions at 8,000 tons and potatoes at 6,000 tons.

Fruit exports totalled 37,000 tons across 28 varieties, led by grapes at 13,000 tons each, followed by strawberries at 11 tons and citrus fruits at 10,000 tons.

Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, and the United States were among the top destinations for Egyptian food exports, which reached a total of 194 importing countries during the week.
