Hassan El-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, announced a review of each industrial sector to enhance Egypt’s export performance during the third meeting of the Ministerial Group for Industrial Development on Thursday. This initiative aims to refine and tailor the export support programme across all sectors.
El-Khatib explained that the ministry will assess each sector individually to identify improvement opportunities and customise support strategies. By addressing sector-specific needs, the government aims to boost competitiveness and drive economic growth through improved export performance. Moreover, this approach seeks to maximise the effectiveness of Egypt’s export policies and align them with international trade agreements.
The review will focus on expanding exports, leveraging trade agreements to access new markets, and strengthening Egypt’s global trade position.
