Egypt forms advisory committees to boost private sector input
Egypt’s Prime Minister, Moustafa Madbouly, issued a decision to form specialised advisory committees aimed at enhancing communication between the government and experts from various private sector fields.
The decision outlined the creation of six specialised advisory committees, each tasked with providing recommendations and proposals to support government efforts in reforming and advancing their respective sectors while bolstering the role of the private sector in policy-making. The committees shall comprise private sector leaders, experts, and specialists. Additional specialised personnel may also be engaged, depending on the nature of the issues under discussion within each committee.
The decision outlines the formation of the six following committees: the macroeconomics committee, export development committee, digital economy and entrepreneurship committee, Egyptian tourism development committee, political affairs committee, and urban development and real estate export committee.
