Gold prices in Egypt have pushed down on Monday by one Egyptian pound.
The Twenty-four carat gold is sold today for EGP 314.18; while the widely-spread in Egypt Twenty-one carat gold has reached EGP 274.95.
The18-carat gold hit EGP 235.72, the 14-carat gold has been in the vicinity of EGP 183.42; while the 10-carat gold is sold for EGP 131.11.
Dr. Wasfi Amin, the head of the Gold’s Craft Division at the Federation of Egyptian Chambers Commerce (FECC), the local gold prices’ steadiness is backed by their global counterparts.
Dr. Amin further referred that the gold shops in Egypt are still closed for the second week in a row due to security concerns, noting that the gold sales sharply dropped to more than 90% driven by the state of lawlessness and the imposed curfew.
