The trade exchange between Egypt and Greece soared by 4.7 percent year on year (YoY) in 2022 to $2.2 billion, up from$2.1 billion in 2022, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) revealed on Monday.
Egyptian exports to Greece witnessed a 5.3 percent YoY rise in 2022, to reach a value of $1.7 billion, up from $1.6 billion the year before.
Egypt’s imports from Greece reached $418.6 million in 2022, with a rise of 5.3 percent from $409.6 million in 2021.
Payments of Egyptians working in Greece climbed by 49.1 percent YoY in fiscal year (FY) 2020/2021 to reach $15.1 million.
Moreover, payments of Greeks living in Egypt inched up by 47.7 percent YoY to $5.1 million.
