Egypt looks to complete designs for the first phase of New El Alamein City ‘s touristic and commercial area within two weeks, people in the construction sector familiar with the matter said.
The touristic and commercial area will be built over 500,000 square metres, hugging the coastline all the way.
The Ministry of Housing is in intensive talks with a number of local mega construction firms to start building the anticipated area next September, the sources further told Amwal al Ghad on Sunday.
“It (the touristic and commercial area) will include some shopping malls and entertainments centres,” the contractors noted.
The ministry is likely to assign around six major contractors, who are partaking in outlining the designs with a group of consultants, to implement the touristic are.
