Egypt’s Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade Hatem Saleh has issued a decree in regard to impose precautionary fees for the imported iron by 6.8% with a minimum of EGP 269 per ton.
In a brief statement, Minister Saleh said the decree has been issued after conducting a study upon the request made by owners of factories producing the Egyptian rebar.
The owners of those factories have called for imposing precautionary fees for the imported iron as such a decree shall work on securing and upgrading the iron industry in Egypt.
