Egypt-India trade exchange records $3.5 bln in 2017

The volume of trade exchange between Egypt and India has registered  $3.5 billion, according to the Head of the Egyptian Commercial Service Office Ahmed Antar.

India ranked seventh in terms of  the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and other countries,  he added.

The value of Egypt exports to India has reached $1.2 billion with an increase of 15.5 percent compared to 2016, while the value of the Egyptian imports from India has posted $2.3 billion increasing 12.49 percent  when compared to 2016.

Antar explained that the most important Egyptian export items to India are in the phosphate rock of all its types – petroleum gas – raw cotton – coal coke (coke) or half of coke -glass products – fresh orange.
