Egypt inks agreement with British council to boost scientific research

Egypt’s Science and Technology Development Fund (STDF) signed an agreement with the British Council on Monday to promote scientific research and knowledge exchange between the two sides, according to a statement by the ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The agreement includes knowledge exchange in the sectors of renewable energy production and storage, healthcare, water resources management and treatment, agriculture and food security, and environmental protection.

Moreover, the agreement seeks to implement a network of outstanding researchers who will beef up relations between Egypt and the UK while developing the scientific research system in Egypt and establishing innovative research projects.

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the Egyptian-British forum taking place in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) from Sunday to Thursday.

The forum sheds light on investment in higher education and involves the participation of a high-level British delegation, along with representatives from 10 universities and five British institutions.
