Egypt invests EGP 86 billion in railways – PM Madbouly
Egypt has invested around 86 billion Egyptian pounds ($5.4 billion) in railways to provide better service to citizens, its Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly said on Sunday.
“Electricity is the future of transportation in the world,” he stated during the inauguration of Adly Mansour railways station in the presence of Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.
Egypt is no longer the highest in road accidents thanks to the national projects that occurred within 6 years, after President Sisi directed the government to accelerate the implementation of a plan for all transport sectors.
There is a large project to develop all Egyptian airports and add a number of new airports, whose investments exceed 50 billion pounds, Madbouly added.
