Egypt, Japan trade exchange worth $1.3bln

The volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Japan amounts $1.3 billion, stated Japanese Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Okano Yukiko, in a press conference held Wednesday.

Japanese investments in Egypt multiplied during 2022. Around 50 Japanese companies are operating in Egypt, she added.

Japanese Foreign Minister visit to Cairo comes within the context of strengthening the cooperation between the two countries in a wide range of areas such as political, security, economy and development assistance.
