Egypt’s Minister of Manpower Mohamed Gobran launched CIRA Care, an initiative aimed at transforming the country’s care economy, with a particular focus on childcare, healthcare, and support for people with disabilities.
The initiative aims to boost economic activities, attract foreign investment, create new jobs, and improve vocational training programmes to meet market demands and address challenges from artificial intelligence and future professions.
CIRA Care’s goals are in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030, which emphasises economic development, social justice, and improved quality of life for Egyptians, according to a statement by the Cabinet on Sunday.
Gebran praised the initiative’s goals of improving labour market policies, creating new jobs, and updating vocational training programmes to meet the needs of the changing job market, the statement added.
