Egypt expects to attract Indian investments worth around $3 billion within the next three years, thus the volume of these investments is likely to reach $6 billion at the end of 2020.
Khaled Abu El Makarem, head of the Egyptian side at India-Egypt Business Council, said Monday number of Indian firms are keen to initially invest about $50 million in Egypt at the beginning of 2018.
An Indian delegation of senior officials and six representatives of the biggest firms operating in petrochemicals, textile, electrical appliances, and railways fields earlier visited Egypt during the last period, Abu El Makarem stated.
The Egyptian official further added that the volume of trade exchange between the two countries registered more than $2.6 billion.
