Egypt Offers Gulf Investors 12 PPP Projects worth $3.3 bln

Egypt is offering the Gulf investors to contribute to 12 PPP projects in the country  with investments valued at US$ 3.3 billion or 21 billion Egyptian pounds.

During the second day of the Gulf-Egyptian Investment Forum 2013 kicked off in Cairo, the Egyptian Investment Minister Osama Saleh announced that the government offers Gulf participation in the 12 public-private partnerships (PPP) projects in Egypt.

Moreover, the Egyptian minister further referred that the 9 holding companies in Egypt have played a crucial role in providing strategic commodities and supplies as well as medicines since the outbreak of the revolution.

In this stance, Osama said the Chemical Industries Holding Company has begun the implementation of the Egyptian Chemical Industries Company (KIMA)’s project to increase the country’s fertilizer output and achieve self-sufficiency in agricultural sector.

Elsewhere, the Egyptian minister has also revealed the recent inauguration of Mövenpick Resort Cairo Pyramids – Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts as well as Hotel Novotel Cairo Airport.
