Egypt is executing 26,448 residential units in Obour City, as part of the country’s social housing project, said Obour City Development Authority’s head Ahmed Omran on Monday.
“The 26,448 homes include 15,000 units (625 buildings) that are being executed by the country’s Armed Forces Engineering Authority,” Omran further added.
He referred that Egypt has completed other 1,576 units out of the total 26,448 residential units under the auspices of Obour City Development Authority.
Obour City is located in Qalyubia Governorate, around 35km northeast of Cairo (21.7 miles). The city, which was designated as an industrial zone and houses of a number of factories, has approximately 250,000 citizens.
