Egypt participates in ICAO’s 39th Assembly Session

An Egyptian high-profile delegation participates in the 39th Triennial Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) from 27 September to 7 October, 2016.

The mission is headed by Hani Eladawy -Chairman of Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority-, including a number of representatives of different sectors of the authority.

The 39th Assembly takes place in ICAO headquarters in Montreal city, Canada, with the attendance of ICAO’s 191 Member States and a large number of international organizations.

Eladawy asserted that a number of important issues related to aviation security and protecting aviation transport policies are set to be discussed during the Assembly.

During Assembly Sessions, ICAO’s complete work programme in the technical, economic, legal and technical cooperation fields is reviewed in detail.

ICAO is a UN specialized agency that targets managing the administration and governance of the Convention on International Civil Aviation (Chicago Convention).

It works with the Convention’s 191 Member States and industry groups to reach consensus on international civil aviation Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) and policies in support of a safe, efficient, secure, economically sustainable and environmentally responsible civil aviation sector.
