Egypt participates in Saudi Crown Prince Camel Festival

Egypt is participating in the fifth edition of Saudi Crown Prince Camel Festival which kicked off on Tuesday, which takes place at the historic Taif Camel Field and will continue until the 7th of September.

There are twelve countries present in the festival representing four continents since its launch in 2018, which makes this annual event the world’s most glamorous of its type.

The number of participating camels surpassed 60,000 since the beginning of the festival five years ago.

Egypt and Sudan are representing Africa, while Oman, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Qatar, and Kuwait, along with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are representing Asia.

France and Switzerland are representing Europe, and The United States of America is present too and represents North America.

The festival was the reason behind the establishment of the Camel Racing World Federation (CRWF), which elevated it from regional to global levels.

Camel racing has earned its place on the list of global and Olympic sports due to the Saudi unwavering support for the sport and its federations across the globe.
