Egypt plans to establish 4 logistics zones in North Sinai – PM

Egypt is planning to build four logistics zones in North Sinai, said Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly on Tuesday, adding that El Arish Airport was developed with the aim of transforming it into an international port.

Madbouly’s remarks, during his visit to North Sinai’s El-Arish, came while the Israeli unrelenting war in Gaza, which neighbours North Sinai’s Rafah, continues for the 25th day that starts in October 7th.

He further added that the country was ready to “sacrifice millions of lives” for the Sinai Peninsula in an apparent reference to reports of Israel’s intelligence ministry’s wartime draft proposal to transfer the Gaza Strip’s 2.3 million people to the region.
