Egypt, Saudi Arabia discuss first joint satellite project
Egypt and Saudi Arabia discussed an implementation plan for their first joint satellite project at a meeting in El Alamein, the Egyptian Space Agency (EgSA) said on Tuesday.
The meeting took place ahead of the opening of the El Alamein International Airshow between EgSA CEO Maged Ismail and Ahmed Alghofaili, deputy CEO of the Saudi Space Agency (SSA).
The two sides discussed plans to develop and implement the satellite project and ways to use space technology to support development priorities, the agency said.
The meeting reflects the depth of Egyptian-Saudi relations and the two sides’ commitment to translating space cooperation into concrete implementation steps with a sustainable development impact, the agency added.
