Egypt secures €200m for luxury trains from Spain
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi approved on Thursday a credit facility agreement with the Spanish government for the supply of seven luxury sleeper trains from Talgo, valued at €200 million.
The Egyptian Parliament had previously endorsed the agreement in June.
To finance the project, the agreement with the Spanish government provides Egypt with a €200 million credit facility, covering the total cost of manufacturing and supplying the new trains.
