Egypt secures wheat deals with European producers

The Future of Egypt, a sustainable development authority, announced on Thursday the signing of wheat supply agreements during a delegation visit to European wheat-producing countries. The visit capitalised on Egypt’s strategic strengths to secure advantageous terms.

This forward-thinking initiative has enabled Egypt to obtain essential wheat supplies at competitive prices while reducing procurement costs, according to an official statement.

The authority emphasised its commitment to adopting global best practices to enhance domestic self-sufficiency, aiming to mitigate the effects of global crises on the Egyptian market, ensuring a stable and sustainable food supply for the nation’s long-term security.
