Egypt seeks expanding medical export markets

Head of the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA), Ali Al-Ghamrawy, met on Monday withrepresentatives of the Export Council for Medical Industries (ECMI), led by Mohy Hafez, to discuss ways to enhance Egypt’s medical exports.

The meeting addressed challenges faced by exporting medical companies and emphasised identifying target export markets to establish memoranda of understanding (MoUs) aimed at boosting the value of Egyptian exports.

Discussions also focused on strengthening co-operation between the ECMI and the EDA’s Export Department to support export activities, as well as resolving issues related to cosmetic product specifications and the validity of export approvals.
