Egypt Sees EGP12.5bn Total IT Exports This Fiscal Year – Official

Egypt’s exports of information technology are expected to reach approximately 12.5 billion Egyptian pounds ($1.75 billion) by end of fiscal year 2014/2015, said minister of communications Atef Helmy.

During FY2013/2014, the size of Egyptian IT exports had totalled around 11 billion pounds.

Moreover, Helmy referred to the ministry’s plans to create 50.000 job opportunities; including 10.000 direct jobs and 40.000 indirect ones.
