Egypt Shares End Higher on Monday, Gain EGP1.8 bln

Egyptian stocks have ended higher on Monday attaining gains totaled EGP 1.8 billion powered by Arab buying appetite. The benchmark index grew higher on Monday to finish above 6780 points.

The Egyptian Exchange indices were wavering in green notes on Monday afternoon.

Egypt’s benchmark index EGX30 ended 0.12 per cent higher to 6782.45 pts, and EGX20 also finished 0.17 per cent up to 7894.45 pts.    
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 hiked by 0.92% to close at 545.59 pts. The price index EGX100 went up by 0.47 per cent to conclude at 924.96 pts.  
The capital market has closed at EGP 427.388 billion on Monday afternoon.

Turnovers
Through the closing session of Monday, the trading volume has reached 125.754 million securities. For the traded value, it hit EGP 294.090 million, exchanged through 19.474 thousand transactions.           

Also during the closing session, 179 listed securities have been traded in; 64 declined, 92 advanced; while 23 keeping their previous levels.

Investors’ Activities

Arabs were net buyers seizing 2.66% of the total market, with a net equity of EGP 9.167 million, excluding the deals.

On the contrary, Egyptians and the non-Arab foreigners were net sellers acquiring 95.36% and 1.98% respectively of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 223.290 thousand and 8.943 million respectively, excluding the  deals.
