Egypt Shares End Lower this Week with EGP1.5bln Losses

Egypt’s stocks ended this week lower with losses amounting to 1.5 billion Egyptian pounds driven by Arab investors’ sales Consequently, the main stock index, EGX30 also closed lower below 0.45% On Thursday.

Meanwhile, the Egyptian Exchange’s indices were wavering in red notes during closing session of Thursday.

Indices

Egypt’s benchmark index EGX30 lower to 8457 pts; while EGX20 finished 0.95 per cent down to 10195pts.     
On the other hand, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 dropped by 0.55 per cent to end at 606 pts. The price index EGX100 tumbled by 0.15 per cent to conclude at 1070 pts.  
Furthermore, the market capitalization recorded EGP 487.530 billion on Thursday.

Turnovers
Through the closing session of Thursday , the trading volume has reached 191 million securities, with turnovers worth EGP 1.612 billion, exchanged through 18.9 transactions.               
Also during the closing session, 175 listed securities have been traded in; 100 declined, 45 advanced; while 21 kept their previous levels.

Investors’ Activities

Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers on Thursday seizing EGP23 million .

On the contrary, the non-Arab foreign investors were net buyers capturing EGP11.5 million  and EGP11.6 million net equity of total market  excluding the deals.
