Egypt signs agreement with an Italian firm to use green architecture in Badr City

Egypt’s New Urban Communities Authority has signed Tuesday cooperation agreement with an Italian leading firm to establish 10,000 housing units using green architecture system.

In cooperation with another Egyptian public firm, the units will be built in Badr City, to be part of the country’s national social housing scheme.

The Egyptian Housing Minister, Moustafa Madbouli has witnessed the signing ceremony.

Madbouly said that the units would be built with space of 90 meter each within 12 months, adding that that the unit would be implemented with best quality and lowest cost.

“Green architecture, philosophy of architecture that advocates sustainable energy sources, the conservation of energy, the reuse and safety of building materials, and the siting of a building with consideration of its impact on the environment”, according to Encyclopædia Britannica.
