Egypt has agreed to integrate certain customs reform measures, including the Authorised Economic Operator programme (AEO), to support Bahraini investments operating in the country.
Ahmed Kouchouk, Egypt’s Minister of Finance, highlighted the decision during the meeting of the Egyptian-Bahraini Governmental Committee for Economic, Trade, Scientific, and Technological Cooperation, as well as in a press conference held in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He stated that the committee has created momentum in bilateral relations, encouraging joint efforts to enhance investment, trade, tourism, and collaboration in financial and technological sectors, along with special economic zones.
