Egypt’s General Authority for Healthcare (GAH) is planning to launch the first national electronic platform for medical tourists, said its chairman Ahmed El-Sobky during the Egypt Health Tourism (EHT) International Conference on Wednesday.
El-Sobky added that “the medical tourism market is estimated at over $115 billion annually, with an annual growth rate of more than 12.5 percent, and is expected to reach over $346 billion annually by 2030.”
Egypt has all the elements to become the medical tourism hub in Africa and the Middle East, increasing the country’s resources and maximising economic growth, El-Sobky mentioned.
