Egypt To Pump EGP 407 Mln Investments To Increase Gasoline 92

Eng. Sherif Ismail, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, has announced for launching project in Alexandria aiming to increase the Egyptian production of Gasoline 92 with capacity of 210 K tons per year, with investments reaching EGP407 million to cover 60% of the Egyptian  market’s demand.

He added that the project affiliated to Alexandria National Refining and Petrochemicals Company has started its work since early September, to treat naphtha with Hydrogen by the capacity of 400 K tons per year, with EGP407 million investments, which is locally funded in cooperation with a number of national banks.

He pointed out that the increase in Gasoline 92 production will contribute in limiting the size of importing various petroleum products, along with the production of 11K tons of butane gas and 175 K tons per year of heavy naphtha.

He has asserted the keenness of the petroleum sector toward the additional precious projects which reflects the life of the citizens, in addition using our resources wisely and providing job opportunities.
