Egypt’s Presidency announced that an agreement will be reached with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to secure the long-awaited US$ 4.8 billion loan.
The Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Ehab Fahmy affirmed during a press conference today that that government will not seal a deal that will harm citizens or the national economy.
Egypt’s delegation in Washington, which is comprised of the Egyptian Minister of Finance El-Morsi El-Sayed Hegazy, the Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt Hisham Ramez and the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, has recently made progress in talks with the IMF, he noted.
