Egypt Trade Balance Deficit Hits $14 bln from Jan-May 2013

The deficit of Egypt’s trade of balance for the non-petroleum products recorded as to EGP 14 billion during the period from January to May 2013 on account of the wide gap between the Egyptian exports and imports, according to some official data from the Foreign Trade Sector to “Amwal Al Ghad”.

The Egyptian exports from Jan-May 2013, pursuant to the data, amounted to US$ 9.8 billion, whereas the imports hit US$ 23.8 billion to represent the trade of balance’s deficit at that period.
