Egypt works on further stake sales after 32 announced – PM

The Egyptian government is working on offering more stakes in state-owned enterprises, said Moustafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister, on Tuesday.

The new offerings are planned to come after the 32 companies that were already announced.

According to Madbouly, one quarter of the stake sales in the 32 companies had already been dealt with.

Egypt is currently working on meeting all its financial commitments and paying its debts, he added.

He also said that the government was late on commitments to some local companies.
