Bahrain, Egypt Telecom Ministers Review Joint Cooperation

Eng. Atef Helmy, Egyptian Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Minister, received on Friday the Minister of Bahrain State for Communications Affairs, H.E. Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa in the Smart Village-Egypt.

The ministers have reviewed the most important features of ICT sector in Egypt and competitive advantages, which owned by sector in both countries, and ways to activate it to use them for the benefit of the two peoples in both Egypt and Bahrain in this regard, also to review the achievements that have been achieved in the areas, and discussed a number of issues of common interest on the bilateral and regional level, which can be fleshed out to become areas for joint cooperation and integration between the two countries in the coming period.

This visiting came under the keenness of the two the countries to enhance the bilateral relations in ICT field, and to ensure the importance of the promising sector and its positive effects on the economy.

Al Khalifa has visited  many IT enterprises in the smart village, including Xceed, Center for Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage, as well as Information Technology Institution(ITI).
