Egyptian Customs Approves Operating Dry Ports During Official Holidays

Mohamed Al Salhy, Head of the Egyptian Custom Authority, has approved the demand of the Export Council for Mining Materials and Industries. The council has called for not halting work in the dry ports during the official holidays, in order to facilitate the shipping of the sector’s exports.

He also obliged the Custom Authorities in Port Said and Sallum to implement the indicative prices on the imports of the mining industries and the materials.

On the other hand, Mr Hamdy Zaher, Head of the Export Council for Mining Materials and Industries, said both of Mohamed Al Salhy and Eng. Mohamed Shafiq, Chairman of the General Organization for Export and Import Control (GOEIC), agreed on not allowing any export shipping unless fulfilling the certificate data of the exports’ numbers to enable the information authority in the Ministry of Industry to register the shipping at the exact time.
