Egyptian Exchange Briefing 12/03/2023

Like other stock markets, the Egyptian exchange witnessed a huge decline in its main indices on Sunday. The main index, EGX 30 fell by -3.14 percent to 15936.89. The index had an opening value of 16454.31, and recorded a day high value of 16468.36 with the day low value being its closing value of 15936.89.

EGX 70 EWI as well declined with a percentage of -3.10 percent to 2965.67, when it opened at 3060.55. The index recorded a day high value of 3060.81, with a very slight incline today in comparison to the opening value. The index recorded a day low value of 2965.52.

EGX 50 EWI dropped by -3.35 percent to 2772.29. The index opened at 2868.32 at morning trade, and recorded a day high value of 2871.63 and a day low value of 2772.29, the closing value.

EGX 100 EWI lost 145.9 from its value to close at 4347.69 with a decline of -3.25 percent. The index opened at 4493.59, and recorded a day high value of 4496.28 and a day low value of 4347.69.

The Egyptian Exchange market cap lost around 29 billion Egyptian pounds today.
