Egyptian Exchange launches beta website with real-time market data

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has launched a beta version of its new website, featuring live market indicators, interactive charts, and expanded information for investors, as part of its efforts to upgrade its digital services.

The new platform is intended to improve access to market information and communication with investors and other capital-market participants, the EGX said in a statement on Monday.

The exchange said it invites traders, investors, and other users to test the beta version and submit feedback before the final website is launched.

The website includes a Price Ticker showing securities prices and trading data, as well as a Market Summary section covering trading values and volumes, transaction numbers, and the market capitalisation of listed companies.

An Indices section provides live charts for major EGX benchmarks, including the EGX30, EGX Shariah Index, EGX70 EWI, and EGX100 EWI.

The platform also tracks the most actively traded securities and companies recording the largest gains and losses during trading sessions.

It provides gold and silver price data and related market information, with the exchange saying the data are licensed by the Financial Regulatory Authority.

A Media Centre and Exchange News section provides listing committee decisions, company disclosures, member news, and official statements issued by the EGX.

The exchange said the new website is designed to work across different screen sizes and mobile devices, allowing investors to access market information through a range of devices.
