Egyptian Exports Rose By 6% In November

The Egyptian exports started to hike last November, after they dived by 22% in October. The Egyptian exports achieved EGP 9.8 billion in November, rose by 6%; compared by EGP 9.2 billion at the same period in 2011.

The total value of Egypt’s exports throughout January- November 2012 recorded EGP 117 billion, declined by 2%; compared to EGP 120 billion in 2011, according to data that “Amwal Al Ghad” from the foreign trade sector.

The is exporting value represented 90% of the total exporting value that the ministry is targeting by the end of 2012, recording EGP 130 billion.

For his part, Hatem Saleh, Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade, told Amwal Al Ghad that the decline of Egyptian exports in 2012 came due to the problems of the domestic display, which happened because of the protests, sit-in and the problems of the global demand, in addition to the problems that face the US economy and EU countries.
