Egyptian Life Takaful-GIG signs health insurance deals with ADIB, 9 clients

Egyptian Life Takaful Company – GIG says it has signed medical insurance cover agreements with 10 new clients, including Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank-Egypt (ADIB) and Arkan Real Estate Development.

Rimah Asaad, GIG managing director, further told Amwal Al Ghad on Sunday that his company would issue medical insurance policies for the 10 clients’ employees and families, with total sum insured of 50 million Egyptian pounds ($2.6 million).

The policy will cover the costs of hospital accommodation, surgeries, endoscopes, medical bills, outpatient clinics, medicines, dental treatment, and chronic diseases, Asaad added.

“We will provide insurance cover for 2500 individuals in ADIB and 800 in Arkan,” GIG official said.

GIG intends to restructure its medical insurance department by adding some insurance privileges, he added. The company has contracted with GlobeMed to run GIG’s medical insurance portfolio.
