Egyptian mosques to hold absentee funeral prayer for Morocco, Libya

Mosques in Egypt will hold absentee funeral prayers on Friday, September 15th, for the victims of the natural disasters in Morocco and Libya, said the Ministry of Endowment.

The ministry also pledged aid worth 30 million Egyptian pounds for Libya, Morocco and Slovenia.

Each country is set to receive 10 million pounds to help them recover after natural disasters they faced.

Libya was struck by Storm Daniel, which caused the deaths of over 2,800 people with 10,000 gone missing.

Morocco was hit by a deadly earthquake, claiming the lives of at least 2,800 people and injuring more than 2,500.

Slovenia was hit by floods in late August which claimed the lives of six people.
