The US dollar traded at an average of EGP 50.53 for buying and EGP 50.63 for selling across five leading banks as of 13:48 local time (09:48 GMT), according to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad English.

 Bank Buy (EGP/USD) Sell (EGP/USD)
National Bank of Egypt (NBE) 50.45 50.55
Banque Misr 50.46 50.56
Commercial International Bank (CIB) 50.55 50.65
QNB Alahli 50.4800 50.5800
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) 50.7000 50.8000

The Egyptian pound has continued to trade within a relatively narrow range against the US dollar in recent weeks, supported by stronger foreign currency inflows, improved investor confidence, and easing pressure on the domestic foreign exchange market. This stability has helped keep exchange rate movements limited despite fluctuations in global currency markets.
