Egyptian, Turkish Leaders Talk On Gaza Violence, Vow Unity With Palestinians

Egypt’s President Mohamed Morsi met Saturday Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is on a two-day visit to Cairo, discussing the latest developments in the Israeli belligerence against the Gaza Strip, and the international efforts exerted to stop such aggression.

“The talks between Morsi and Erdogan tackled the Egyptian- Turkish efforts exerted to stop the Israeli aggression on the strip, and offering the support to the Palestinian people,” presidency spokesman Yasser Ali said.

Meanwhile, Erdogan gave a speech in Egypt’s Cairo University Saturday, when he also condemned Israel’s aggression on the Gaza Strip.

“Turkey will work along with Egypt and the international community to stand by the Palestinian people,” Erdogan said.
